Personal Biography
Andy has been with IBM since 1985. He is a Technical Staff Member and
member of the UK & Ireland Technical Consultancy Group. He is currently
seconded to the National eScience Centre at Glasgow
and Edinburgh universities. Prior to this he was a Senior Research
Scientist in the Development Lab in IBM at Greenock, specialising in
computer simulation techniques and display technologies. Andy is a Fellow
of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and a Member of the Institute of
Physics. He holds over 50 patents and has published many technical
articles. Andy received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
