Durham

Peter: CREAM/auth issues with VOs. Working on CREAM. Issues with DPNS-DU, might be load issues. Some users have had discussions about WMS, so one Glasgow WMS has been disabled but IC/RAL WMSes have been added David: Both Glasgow WMSes are being updated - svr022 has been done, svr023 will be done soon. Both Glasgow WMSes should be enabled, keep RAL/IC WMSes enabled Peter: CREAM moving slowly but is moving, new nodes have been installed, tickets being worked on

Edinburgh

Wahid: Monday, issue with GPFS home dirs. Location had to be changed which caused a couple of issues. Systems team wanted to work on power supplies and put in a new switch, ongoing now, so at risk. David: Noted the closure of the SE publishing ticket. Wahid: Storm SE not publishing correct values, but isn't actually being used so closed ticket

Glasgow

David: WMSes need to be updated in series. Last of disk servers installed on Friday and is now soaking. Last of the hardware installation now done. Next step to look at rationalisation. Power shutdown to come. Updated DPM to 1.8.0 Sam: Meant to do this for a while, advantages in database handling. In particular database cleaning. Recommended, particularly if the DPM database is getting very large.

Other business

Peter: Should I clean out APEL databaase? It's growing rapidly Sam: You can, there are instructions on APEL site on cleaning up database. Glasgow's has filled up twice, sensible to clean it before it reaches the max MyISAM size

Wahid: Going to change DPM to SL5 this week, but since SL4 to be supported a bit longer decided to wait for EMI1 Sam: I agree

Wahid: Wondering about accounting metrics, waiting for updates.

Peter: dpns-du fails. Every directory listed to diagnose issue. ATLAS has large number of zero sized files Sam: Could be old directories no longer in use, as they are difficult to remove Peter [posts example, see transcript] Sam: Very old, shouldn't have anything in it.

Peter: ATLAS asked for space token to be increased. Sam: T2s being sent more work because Panda thinks incorrectly that the T1 didn't have a particular software version (which it did). dpns-du: interesting there there are some send errors, have sent commands to look in logs.

Chat transcript: [08:37:37] Wahid Bhimji mine has been 1.8.0 (sl4) for a few weeks (though the database cleaning was (accidently) not switched on until last week ) [08:40:24] Wahid Bhimji so do you glasgow have to do that regularly?
